So I decided to fund my dragon eye habit by selling completed dragon eyes. I don't want this to become a commercial venture...I just want to be able to afford the prettier colors and replenish my cabochon supply. I love painting dragon eyes. It is a Zen activity for me. I can turn on a video and just do. It relaxes me. I am pretty stressed out right now, and painting them helps. I however do not need 400 dragon eyes. I only need like 10 for the stop mo I am working on. It seems a shame to just wipe out my work just to keep the body count down. As I do not plan on making this a commercial venture, I have made the page hidden from site search, and hidden to Google search. There is no SEO, so no keywords will get you there. If you want some, you can go to the page by typing in barefootorbust.weebly.com / dragoneyes.html. I am also trying to make it not discoverable by bots, so just take out the spaces and it'll get you there. Feel free to share the link with people you feel would benefit from it.

I put up pictures of the eyes I have available now, and will continue to put up more pictures (and take down pictures) as the supply changes. As I said, I am not trying to make bank from this, just enough to be able to feed this aweful, aweful habit. I definitely have a crafting addiction. I blame my mother. :) It is hella hard to get good pictures of these puppies. They are very shiney, and they look best when the light hits them just right. But if thelight hits em just right, there is a huge glare, and if I get rid of the glare the light isn't the most flattering. Well, maybe photographing difficult to photograph objects will become a skill of mine. :P

I am about 45 in as far as the number of dragon eyes I have painted. Some I gave away, some I sold. (BTW...if you want to buy some, send me a messege via the contact form on this site and we can talk about what I got)

The other day I decided to do some photogging of the eyes. Here is one of the better ones. The rest are up on my Flickr site in an album HERE.

Time goes by so fast. I have so much to do, so little time. I have still not gotten the test sequence shot for he dragon eyes. I need my incandescent flashlight for the right color and amount of lighting for it, and when I went to film the flashlight had stopped working. When I unscrewed the end, about an inch of water dropped out. I have no idea how that much water got into it. I didn't drop it in water. It is a maglite, so very water proof. It is not damp here. I have no idea how that much water got inside it. I have never had to worry about it before. Worst that has happened in 10 years is having to replace the batteries. So I had to dredge the interwebstubes for one to replace it. Do you know how hard it is to find a flashlight that is not LED? LED is the wrong color and light texture and brightness. I understand it takes less batteries and is brighter so is better for camping and stuff, but it won't work in this application. I finally did find one on page 20 of Amazon search. I got it in the mail Friday. After I catch up on coursework I will try some test sequences. I will have to wait until it is dark too, cause I have tons of windows in this room, and the blinds are not enough blockage. At least till close to dusk. But I have a math course I need to complete, and I have been having issues making myself do it. It is not hard. I get it. I just don't want to do it in any way shape or form, and it will not forward my degree, so I am having issues making myself do something that feels pointless. It is a hoop, and that is it. And I have no patience with hoops. They waste my time. Technically I could leave this course till my last term, but I won't be any better at making myself to it then, so I am not letting myself progress in my degree until I finish the final for that class and pass. It is getting close tot he end of the term, just 16 weeks left, so I am hopinh that panic will be enough to get me moving. I am also not letting myself get distracted by fun stuff. Like filming. I really want something to submit for Anglicon. Another motivating factor. I can balance after I do the class I really, really really do not want to do.

I also have been playing around on my breaks with painting caboshons with something other than dragon eyes. They kind of work. My friend says I should call them mermaid stones. We'll see. I have no idea what to do with them.

Ok...back to the grind.
